A web marketing company hired us to build a sales team to represent their product. Up until that time their sales had come primarily through the owners’ efforts and word of mouth. This was an established company with an excellent track record of results for their clients. They had grown slowly but steadily for the past several years. When we started with them they had 75 active, paying clients.
 
The challenge: Grow sales with a minimal starting budget and very little marketing support.
 
With no marketing campaign and a limited starting budget to support the sales efforts we had to focus on a small team with a prospecting-heavy sales process. We recruited top sales people across the country, some with web marketing experience and all with an excellent sales background. 
 
We refined the sales message, coordinated with the owners and programmers to get each new salesperson up to speed, supported them with daily sales trainings and sent them off to sell. Three months later we had secured over 100 new client companies for a total of over $70,000/month in recurring revenue—More than matching all of their previous sales production in just three months!

A financial services company hired us to develop their sales training program and produce marketing and resource materials for their sales team. This particular company had a strong offering, but because of the quality of deliverables they offered their clients they were positioned at a higher price point than most of their competition.
 
The Challenge: To put together a program that would allow salespeople to highlight the VALUE of their services and sell for a premium price.
 
After a brief preparation period we set to work training their team. At the time they hired us their sales revenue had ranged from $40-$60k/mo. We refined the sales message, developed a training program and began working with each member of the sales team to set their offering apart from the competition. 
 
In the first full month under the new program the team produced $90k with no other major changes to the company.  A 50% increase in sales in just one month!
 
After seeing the training results they hired us to build and manage their new sales team. That’s when things really started to take off.

We began by hiring 60 top caliber sales professionals and quickly plugged them into the new program. We aggressively recruited across the country, put each candidate through a 3-step interview process and provided the training they needed to hit the ground running. Some had industry experience, others did not. As it always does, it took this new team a few weeks to get comfortable with their new company, product and systems, but in a very short period of time they had the marbles out of their mouths and were starting to bring in sales. 
 
Sales revenue went from $90/k month (record-breaking at the time) to $1.5 million just 3 months after the launch of the sales team! This was such rapid growth that they spent the next several months furiously staffing every department in the company to keep up with the new demand. We literally delivered 2 years worth of new sales each and every month!
 
 

4 New Hires Demolish the Veterans

Not too long ago a client company commissioned us to train 4 new salespeople. They would be the first in the company to experience New Paradigm Sales Training. In this case we put together a four day intensive training course designed to propel them past their peers and competitors and eliminate the painful learning curve most new hires endure for the first 6-8 months of their career.

Of the four students (Christine, Ryan, April, Greg) only Greg had previous sales experience.

In an industry where it typically takes 6 months to a year for new salespeople to get competent selling their product, these guys blew away the veterans in their VERY FIRST MONTH!

After one week of training they were sent out to sell. The results were immediate and dramatic. Although they were handicapped by missing the first three days of the month to complete training, by the 15th of that month three of these four new salespeople were in the top 20 in the company (Sales force of 150+.) To everyone’s astonishment Christine had passed every single person in the company and had a 10% Lead on the next closest sales rep!

A few days later I met up with the four new hires to review how things were going and to make sure they were sticking to the program. When I spoke with Christine she was beaming. She explained how she had vowed to do things exactly as she learned in training. She even held up the support materials, “This is my Bible,” she said. “It’s amazing! I just say what you told me to and my clients practically fall all over themselves to buy from me! I can barely keep up with all the business!”

Christine finished the month 30% ahead of the next closest person! That included all the veterans with their established client base and superior knowledge and experience. It was the first time in company history that a new salesperson (1st month) finished NUMBER ONE in the company. She became a fixture in the top 10 and was quickly moved into the management program where she helped teach others what she had learned.

The remaining three finished in the top ten as well, with all but one completing the month in the top five.
